Can students build a new article?

Hi--

I would like my students to analyze the pop culture references in a novel called Attachments, by Rainbow Rowell. Wikipedia has an existing article about Rowell, but not one about the novel. The novel is set in 1999, and the characters make numerous allusions to pop culture throughout the chapters. But my students, most of who were in elementary school in the 1990s, will not be familiar with these allusions. Thus, I would like them to research what they are. In essence, they are creating an encyclopedia of them that would help guide a reader .

Can my students create an additional article that links to Rowell's Wikipedia page?

Best.
