Before assuming your draft is gone, make sure that you do the following:

  1. Make sure that you're logged in - you likely won't see your sandbox/draft under your edit history if you're not logged in.
  2. If you're logged in, check your edit history. Sometimes drafts get moved around by yourself, a classmate, educator, or another editor.
  3. Did you make your draft while you weren't logged in? You may be able to check the IP edit history when you're not logged in. Be careful, as IP addresses can change depending on what Internet provider is being used at a given location. Some may even have a service that changes their IP address regularly, so it's very important that you always log in before making edits in order to keep your edit history intact.

If the draft was deleted you can ask the deleting administrator to restore the page for you. If the page was deleted due to issues with plagiarism or copyright violations, then the article is unlikely to be restored - however you may ask for a copy to be sent to your email address (as long as you have this enabled) so you can work on fixing the draft's issues.
