Adding your e-mail address to your Wikipedia account is a good idea. This is the ONLY way to retrieve your password if you forget it. You can add your email by entering it when you sign up for an account or you can add it later.

• Make sure you are logged into your account.
• Go to your preferences section via the information bar at the top right hand portion of every Wikipedia page.
• This is your user profile. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where the e-mail section is located:

• After entering your information, select the box that allows users to email you. Don't worry: your email will not be visible on Wikipedia, you will receive only a few emails a year, and you won't be spammed.
• Save your progress.
• Confirm your account: you will be sent an email to confirm your email address. Click that link in the email and you're done!
