I was wondering - does Wikipedia or Dashboard appear differently to my students? If the differences are major, what can I do to see what they see?

When it comes to Wikipedia, you and your students should see the same things when you log in. A page will not look different when viewed through an instructor or student account. The only time something may seem different is when it comes to editing, as some people prefer to edit in source mode while others like VisualEditor more. (If you are wondering how to enable VisualEditor on yours or another's account, please read this question.)

There are some differences in what an educator and student can see when it comes to Dashboard. Instructors have the ability to assign articles to anyone in a course, edit their timeline and course information, and can add or remove students from a course. Students are only able to assign themselves articles and enroll themselves to a course. Other than this, there are no major differences in what students see on Dashboard and these differences should not be major enough to cause any large issues.

If you believe that your student is seeing something out of the ordinary that is impeding their progress in the course or otherwise causing difficulty, ask them to send you a screenshot of what they're seeing. If the student's issue is not something you can resolve, contact your Content Expert and pass the screenshot along.
