A single source can be re-used multiple times in the Visual Editor by clicking the 'Cite' button. When the reference pop-up appears, you will see a tab labeled 're-use'. Using that you can select previous references and add an individual citation that won't create another entry in your references section. A step by step guide with images detailing the menus is available on Wikipedia.
