Most student work, even above average articles, should not be nominated for Good Article unless you and the student understand that following through with the nomination will require waiting a few weeks for a review and potentially a lot of work responding to comments from the nominator. However, if your student is willing to keep tabs on their work after the assignment is complete and their work is solidly above average--it covers the subject well, uses only reliable references and points to those references with inline citations--working through the nomination process can be a valuable opportunity for peer review and strong critical feedback for their work.

Your Content Expert will be able to provide you with useful feedback prior to the review. Asking for their help before deciding whether or not to embark on this process will be very helpful to you and your student.
